Recently there have been lots of messages in circulation. This is regarding one of the ingredients which is said to contain pork traces, and it has come to my attention that many of the packet foods that we commonly use like LAYS, DORITOS, etc do contain this ingredient: E631. Please clarify this issue and also do let me know if there are any other such particular codes that we need to watch out before consuming any such products. Jazakallah khair.

Illegal Stay in a Foreign Country for Years.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 07/15/2014 - 04:48

This is a very unclear situation. Let's take an example,if I am a staying illegally in a foreign country and made my domicile there for many years, are my prayers or any act of worship valid? Eg.namaaz, roza, zakat, lawaajam, khums,

As it says that the land should not be ghasbi where you pray.
Staying illegally in a foreign country means my visitor visa was expired and I did not return back to my country where I came from. And that is against the law of that foreign country.

"Watan"/Home land - Definition

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 07/13/2014 - 23:01

I was born in London, and lived in London all my life until I got married and moved to a different city 8 years ago. I still visit London frequently (once a month) to see family. So can I still consider it as my "watan" and pray full namaz/fast even if I visit there for less than 10 days or should I pray Qasr namaz? Jazakallah

Salaamun Alaykum
When reciting adhan for jamaat namaaz the last two words I say "Ash hadwanla ilaha illallah" instead of "La ilaha illallah" would the adhan be acceptable or should the whole adhan be recited all over again?

I would appreciate the answer please as soon as you possibly can.

How do you pay khums on the following :

1. Access clothing, toys, gifts that belong to your children that have never been used for more than a year.(Do you have to pay)

2. Children receive cash as gift from family members and their parents.

3. If you spend the money of your children received as above, can you deduct them from your saving before calculating your own khums.

Thank you.
