Paying off Debts of Deceased Brother

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 10/17/2014 - 09:40

My brother passed away in November 2013 following cancer treatment.

By one marriage, he had a daughter(+30 yrs old) but divorced from the mother (Shia). We are in touch with the daughter.

His second wife was English, also divorced and they had a son. We have lost contact with this family. The third wife was American and he had a daughter 24 years and a son 18 years, but, I believe, not practicing Muslims. I visited them in Buffalo, U.S.A. in July 2012 when I went to fetch my brother, following his surgery. There is minimal contact.

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 10/10/2014 - 05:22

Salaam alaykum,
I usually go and pray in Non-Shia mosques , I would like to ask therefore , in the absence of turbah / mohr

1. can I pick any stone on the way and prostrate on it ?

2. what about a stone on my ring like aqeeq or feruza , can I prostrate on the back of my hand on these stones?

3. are there any preferences to observe , that is in absence of mohr use 'A' only , if 'A' is not available then only go for option 'B' and so on... what are preferred options?

Qadha Salaah in Sitting Position

Submitted by faseehas on Thu, 10/02/2014 - 13:11

Salaam Alaykum.

If one has undergone a surgery due to which they are not allowed to bend or sit down on the ground, they dont have a choice but to sit on a chair and pray wajib salaah, correct?
Now, if such a prohibition by the doctors means a number of months, and the patient wishes to offer their qadha salaah of previous years, be it before or after surgery, what is the ruling? Can they offer the qadha salaah in that sitting position?
