A person has 2 elder brpthers, who are negligent of their wajib duties. People who dont care if they do haram. E.g. they wont exercise their wajibaat in all deeds but fasting, and are negligent in their prayers.
AOA. I saw a joke on FB and shared it and a couple of my friends were really offended by it. I want to know if this joke is in some way un-Islamic. The joke went something like this: Man to Maulana: My wife left me in a huff and went to live with her parents for a month. What should I do? Maulana Replied: Fabi Ayyi Aalaa e Rabbi kumma tuqaziban: "And which of your Lord's favors will you deny?" Please let me know if this is some how disrespectful to Islam or Quran.
Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." I am desperately seeking some good mature advice on this issue of mine but I would like this question to remain confidential.
I have done some really bad things and practices I shouldn't have done a few times over until it hit me bad and I am trying to seek forgiveness of Allah SWT.
How do I know I am forgiven?? And once im forgiven is it possible the past record of mine would be erased? Hint: pictures and evidences.
Please help. I am really guilty of what I did. Your advice would be highly appreciated.
An elderly person from my in-laws adviced that divorce if it takes place is allright by justifying that it also happened in the house of the Holy Prophet(S). I find this hard to believe that an Ideal person would not do an act disliked by Allah, and even if there was an issue he would try reconciliation to the maximum.
Please advice if this is correct.
Is it permissible to marry a man in his late 30's who has had a life of crime, one of which was murder and armed robbery, converted to Islam but still known to drink alcohol and take drugs after his conversion, on occasions also has had a history of beating his previous wife
According to some historical narrations we get to know that the dowry of Lady fatimah (s.a) was 500 dirhams.
As it is emphasized to keep the same meher as of Lady Fatimah (s.a). my question is:
How do we calculate the current value of the above amount considering that in those times the dirhams were made of silver. Wont it be incorrect if it is calculated according to the current value of U.A.E dirham ?
